A Starting Point

A few days ago, I watched a video by Ali Abdaal titled "How to Get Rich". Not exactly a subtle title – and Ali is not shy to lay out the hard truth. The main message of the video - If you want to get rich - you need to become unhealthy obsessed about becoming rich. Of course there are exceptions to this, but in general, if you want to succeed in anything, you have to become more or less obsessed with that thing, whether it is business, sports, relationships or any other thing, and I very much agree with this. Unfortunately, I think a lot of people, myself included, are living a life where their actions often are misaligned with their goals. This discrepancy can lead to an unhappy life with a pronounced feeling of unfulfillment. This is also something that Ali points out in the video and clearly states it in this punchy way - "Whenever you’re in a situation where what you want is misaligned with what you are doing, it creates misery."

This last message from Ali really stuck with me and it resonates well with my ambitions: to create fulfillment through actions that are aligned with my goals in life.

That’s what I want more of.

The goal is not necessarily to become financially independent (although that would be great), but to feel like I’m spending my time building something meaningful. Something I care about. Something that, over time, gives me more freedom – financial, creative, and personal.

This blog is where I’ll document that journey.

I don’t have a clear blueprint. I’m not here to give advice or pretend I’ve got it all figured out. But I do believe that by sharing the process – the wins, the setbacks, the lessons – I’ll learn more. And maybe you will too.

The goal?
- To create something of my own.
- To build slowly, intentionally, and with curiosity.
- To chill – and build.
